Nutrien Ag Solutions Bulk Fertiliser Distribution Centre for Birchmead
Following the recent announcement of our appointment to deliver the new Nutrien Ag Solutions Bulk Fertiliser Distribution Centre for Birchmead, we’re pleased to share the first in a series of project updates. This landmark development supports Western Australia’s $16.3 billion agriculture industry and is located on a 45,000m² site. The facility will feature a 24,500m² bulk fertiliser storage area and 300m² of office space, weighbridges, wheel washers and external hardstands. The on-site works are well underway, with bulk earthworks and excavation and concrete pad footings nearing completion, as well as water and electrical pre-lays.
Progress Update: Warehouse & Offices for Direct Freight Express
We’re proud to be partnering once again with our valued repeat client, Direct Freight Express, on a new development currently underway in Mandurah. This latest project will see the delivery of a 3,500m² warehouse with an ancillary office, complemented by external hardstand and car parking across the 6,500m² site. As you can see from the video, earthworks are nearing completion on-site, paving the way for our concreting team to commence, followed by plumbing, electrical, and fire safety installations. We’re excited to see this project taking shape and look forward to its completion later this year. Stay tuned for more updates as construction advances.
Case Study: TFMXpress
The first quarter of 2025 also saw the completion of a warehouse project in High Wycombe. Embarking on a new warehouse development is a significant undertaking in itself — even more so when the site is nearly 3,500km away from your base of operations. For Frank Ainalis, CEO of TFMXpress, this was the challenge at hand. With the company’s Western Australian operations rapidly outgrowing their existing premises, Frank needed a reliable design and construction partner who could manage the entire process on his behalf, allowing him to remain focused on national growth. The now completed project features 2,800m2 of warehouse, 6,300m2 of hardstand and 200m2 of office space.
Groundbreaking Ceremony: Marine Rescue Port Hedland
Members of the AUSPAN team recently attended a Groundbreaking Ceremony for a new project that’s we’re commencing for Marine Rescue Port Hedland. This organisation plays an important role in keeping the local community safe, by responding to maritime emergencies, including marine search and rescue operations. The volunteer group also supports port operations, by assisting recreational boat users who experience breakdowns or emergency situations within the busy bulk export port. AUSPAN have been tasked with the construction of a new cyclone-rated training centre and operational base, which once completed, will feature a full turnkey fit out including a kitchen, conference room and radio operations facility.
AUSPAN Company Brochure
And to close out this quarter’s Industrial Inform we wanted to share with you our inaugural company brochure. While we’ve published several guides and capability statements over the years, this is the first time we have produced a “whole of company” publication featuring everything we do across our four main sectors of Industrial, Mining, Agriculture and Equine. Feel free to contact AUSPAN if you’d like a hard copy of the brochure, or alternatively just click the button below to download a pdf.
So that’s it for this edition of the Industrial Inform. We hope you are having a positive Q2 and we look forward to staying in touch with you on our socials.
