23 April 2025
Hello and welcome to the AUSPAN Ag Inform for April.
Last month was a busy one for the AUSPAN team with Wagin Woolorama and the Better Beef expo, with the latter taking place at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre from March 19 to March 21.
This was an important event for AUSPAN as we are the exclusive distributor in Western Australia for the unique “Ridgeback™” feedlot cover. The patented concave curved roof design of the Ridgeback™ is self-ventilating and significantly increases air flow compared to traditional covers. All of this is especially relevant considering the current industry shift towards covered feedlots.
As many of you will know AUSPAN likes to support regional communities wherever possible and in March we sponsored both the Gnowangerup Fly-In & Fair event and the Katanning Country Club Golf Club 4BBB Classic.
It was the first time the Fly-In & Fair event had been held and by all accounts it was a roaring success!
And now it’s time for our monthly road trip and this month we start our journey two and a half hours drive northeast of Perth at Mocardy with this 44 x 24 x 7.3m Multipurpose Shed for Rod Siegert.
This shed features 2 x 6m wide double track sliding doors which slide onto an outrigger providing full width access into the grain/fertiliser bunker. This shed also includes 1x 12m and 2 x 16m girder trusses for offering clearspan openings.
Heading four hours southeast now to Arizona Farms at Mallee Hill and this 32 x 45 x 6m Stockyard Cover we recently completed for Luke Bairstow, which features a whopping 45m clear span, with an 18-degree roof pitch and a custom ridge vent for improved ventilation.
And lastly, we continue southeast to this recently completed Lean-To extension project in Ravensthorpe for West End Farms.
The original shed was completed in 2022 and is 40 x 18 x 7.2m and as part of this Lean-To project it includes 2 x 16m girder trusses for clearspan openings.
If you haven’t already started, we wish you all the best with getting your seeding operation underway, have a great April and we look forward to touching base again next month.
